Enrolment, Cancellation & Returns Policy
By enrolling in a course with the Association of Canine Learning, you enter into a legally binding agreement in which you agree to comply with our enrolment terms, including the timely payment of fees, in exchange for access to course materials, academic support, and tutor guidance.
We are committed to transparency and fairness. Please read the following information carefully before enrolling. This policy will also be included in your welcome materials for reference; however, you will have already agreed to these terms at the point of enrolment.
Right to Cancel (Consumers)
If you are enrolling as a consumer, you have the right to cancel your course within 14 calendar days of enrolment without providing a reason.
However, please note the following important conditions.
Immediate Course Access & Waiver of Cancellation Rights
By enrolling, you explicitly consent to the course and associated services beginning immediately. This includes, but is not limited to:
Immediate access to your first unit and welcome materials
Entry into the student database
Allocation of a tutor
The course is considered to have started immediately upon enrolment, regardless of when you download materials or submit your first assignment.
By agreeing to these terms at checkout, you acknowledge that once the service has begun, your statutory right to cancel is waived.
By ticking the agreement box during checkout, you confirm:
“I request that the course begins immediately. I understand that this means I lose my right to cancel once the course has started.”
Refunds Within 14 Days (Goodwill Basis)
Although cancellation rights are waived once the course begins, the Association may, as a goodwill gesture, consider refund requests made within 14 days of enrolment. The following deductions apply:
£50 administration fee
Deducted to cover enrolment processing, tutor allocation, and database entry.£100 administration fee
Applies if any assignment has already been submitted for marking, reflecting tutor time and academic work undertaken.
Example:
If you enrol using a £45 instalment and request cancellation within 14 days after the course has started, the full £45 payment will be retained as an administration fee. No additional fees will be charged, and no further instalments will be taken.
Course Swaps & Transfers
Within 30 days of enrolment, and provided no assignments have been submitted, you may request the following:
Course Swap
You may request to transfer to an alternative course offered by the Association of Canine Learning.Requests must be made in writing (not by phone)
A £50 administration fee applies
Enrolment Transfer
You may request to transfer your enrolment to a friend, family member, or colleague.Requests must be submitted in writing and include an explanation
The new student must agree to all course terms
A £50 administration fee applies
Personal Circumstances
The Association cannot accept liability for changes in personal or professional circumstances after enrolment. Students are advised to carefully consider their availability, commitment, and suitability for the course prior to enrolling.
Submitting Requests
All refund, course swap, or enrolment transfer requests must be made in writing by email to the College Principal.
The responsibility for ensuring the request has been received rests with the student.
